You will know when this occurs as the printer will light up all of the signal lights. While holding the power button, plug the power cord back into the wall socket and wait until the printer initiates a reset procedure. You need to unplug the power cable and all data cables from the printer, unlatch the cartridge cover and push the Power button. Before anything else, it is recommended to reset the waste ink counter, which is a simple procedure to do. In general, the 5B00 error does not represent a major problem for your Canon G2000 printer or any other model, and will not cost a fortune to fix. To resolve the issue there are a couple of things you can do on your own. Interestingly enough, the issue only appears if you try to print, the printer will boot up normally as if nothing was wrong.
The reason behind the 5B00 error is either an improper ink cartridge being used or an issue with the waste ink counter.
